One of the most important archaeological finds in Greece and the most important in the wider region of Macedonia.

The provincial road Veroias - Melikis crosses the archaeological site all the way, providing a comfortable connection with the coasts of Pieria, while the provincial road that crosses the western Pieria and the municipality of Makedonis connects Aiges with Velvendos and Elassona, as well as the Katafygi, Petra and Olympus through a route of exceptional natural beauty. Equally enjoyable is the route that crosses the wooded slopes of the eastern Pieria leading through Sykia and the ruins of Dion.
